NCCOAST.COM published this article back in their Fall 2013 issue of Water Front. They contacted me and asked for permission to use some of my photos in the article and I said ok as long as I get credit for them. They did give me credit in the printed story.

On April 24, the Sun Journal published a relatively brief obituary for Edwin Grushinski, who was District Ranger for the Croatan National Forest in the 1960s and early 1970s before he moved to other responsibilities with the U.S. Forest Service in western North Carolina. By Walt Unks Winston-Salem Journal....Quick. Name the four national forests located in North Carolina. Many Triad hiking enthusiasts are familiar with Pisgah and Nantahala national forests in the western mountains and many have hiked Uwaharrie in the state's mid-region. But how many are familiar with Croatan National Forest near the Atlantic Coast ?
