The Board Walks
Most (but not all) of the very wet sections have board walks ranging from a few feet long to one almost 1/4 mile long. A few places may have nothing more that a board spanning the wet section and there are many areas that could use board walks that do not have them.
Remember, these board walks are built by volunteers and the lumber and other building supplies have to be carried in most of the way and some of those wood supports are big and very very heavy; so unless you helped to build then, don't complain.
If the board walks are wet and or have leaves, they can be slippery.
I like to use hiking poles while hiking as I can use the poles to check suspect soggy areas before I step in them and help me keep my balance on logs while crossing wet sections of the trail.
Many of the boardwalks have names and or other information carved in them so be on the lookout. What's the oldest boardwalk you can find ?
