  • More trail work...

I have been replacing missing blazes along the Hwy 306 tp Copperhead Landing. Second time this week I have been out working on this section of the trail. On my first trip out I ran out of blazes and had to restock and get some nails. Took Sam the dog with me and he had a great time running the trail and checking out all the water and mud holes. Great time to be in the woods, clear skies, slight breeze and cool conditions.

While I was at the shelter I checked the water pump and it is working.

Did not see anyone on the trail and did not see or hear any hunters.

Getting my gear ready. I wear a carpenter's belt to hold the nails
and blazes. I carry the extras in pack for when I need to resupply

Please don't practice your axe skills on the shelter. Lots of dead trees around you can use.

I made a sly nylon water proof blaze orange pack cover to wear over my pack and I mostly use
it during hunting season. Weighs about 2 oz

Why people feel the need to leave graffiti I will never understand. If you want to leave your name ect then write / draw on the Shelter Log book.

The wire cables are to keep the boardwalks from floating away during flooding during hurricanes
