  • Bridge repair - trail work session Saturday April 27, 9AM

From Sue and Gene Huntsman Carteret County Wildlife Club

Loafing's over, but not the fun! After two successive play events (Herring Fry and Canoe Trip), it's time to do a little more post-Florence repair to the Neusiok Trail. We need to re position and patch the "Warner" bridge (the first bridge NW of the Copperhead Shelter). Making this bridge usable is essential to opening up the lovely and extremely popular Northwest section of the Neusiok Trail.

ll hands, regardless of skill or strength, are needed. Lots of things need to be carried to the work site. if you can walk and grasp so much as hammer or a can of nails we can use your talent and leg power. Meet at the parking area where the Trail crosses NC 306 (about 2 miles N of the !01-306 intersection) at 9 AM Saturday April 27. The weather is forecast to be sunny and not too hot. Bring a lunch and beverage. Hammers, saws, come-alongs, post-hole diggers, crowbars, ropes and chains are needed.. These workdays are fun, for real!

Come and enjoy yourself while enabling the enjoyment of others.

Please try to let me know by phone 252-447-4061 if you expect to join us.
